The above chart provides the Bible student with a chronological history of the Old Testament. By reading these books in consecutive order the person studying their Bible will learn the story of the Old Testament. When doing Old Testament Bible Study reading these books in order provides an excellent starting point. This is far less daunting and more effective in understand the flow of history than simply starting in Genesis and reading through Malachi.
Side Note: Remember the order of the Biblical books in your Bible is not inspired. Those were chosen later and are grouped together more by type of literature than by flow of the narrative. The chart above solves the problem that many people have of not being able to get the flow of the narrative.
